I can;t find a way to give a name to my hotbox car when i press the button under aux. It goes to cab one and cant get a way to give the one position a name. Are these supposed to be nameable or not?

Is your hotbox been converted to TMCC? They were not TMCC-controlled unless you used one of Jon's upgrade boards in it.

If a Legacy System, Simply hit "info" after you are controlling the ACC # you wish to name. The info screen will allow entry of a name and a 4 digit address. These can be "scrolled" and "selected" like an Engine or Train.

It has one of Johns mini commander in it and I put it in the aux position. evidently you can;t give a name to a cab one position. If I pust aux and then 1 and then info it goes right to the lettering cab one.

Winky2,

If you press the info button, you **can** give it a name. The name will be visible *above* the "CAB1 MODE" box, on a Legacy loco this will be the speed graph instead of CAB1 MODE.

Try hitting ACC, then info, and enter a name and see if it shows up!

I did exactly as you said jon, 1st turned hand held on, then hit acc, then info and entered Hot Box Car. I then pushed the ctc button but all it said was Cab One and a number 1 by it.

Winky2,

Sorry you are not getting this to work, I am out of Ideas. I have my setup right beside me and see the words "HOTBOX" above the CAB1 MODE. Maybe your database is corrupt. I suggest you wait to receive the V1.2 software revision due shortly. Hopefully this will fix your problem.

Is there a "SET" button that needs pressed? I didn't see that mentioned in Winky's post but did see it in the instructions.

Not according to the instructions. I've never programmed an accessory but the instructions say to push "SET".

Thanks marty, yes my memory failed me, I programed everything the 1st week and now have forgotten. I pressed set and all worked fine. I still can;t get my cruise commander to not shut the sound on and off in the tmcc mode. It works fine in the cab 1 mode but not in tmcc.
I have to take it out as Jon thinks it is screwed up and send it back, have to get around to taking the engine apart to do it.
