Hello
Can i create a legacy lashup of three engines and put 2 engines infront of all the cars and one on the back to simulate a helper?? TIA Shaun |

Build it as you would any other lash up. Just add an engine to the rear. Here is an example of one Dave Slie did and it worked great...
lashup "Then again what do I know? I'm sitting in a 53' white box watching TV" MartyE and Kodi the Husky Dog (3/31/90-9/28/04) Crappy Basement Productions Present... A Proud Member of the CBL Assoc. MartyE.com My O-Gauge RR Webpage...Home to Kodiak Junction! |

There is no issue because Jon indicated and my experimentation with 5 Legacy engines is that trailing Legacy units run a tad slower at a given speed step. The lead engine will go slightly faster. You can set up the engines as a TR and then drop the trailing engine. A limitation at this point is that the trailing pushers can only be a single unit that you would address individually when you want the pusher to drop off(Note that the pusher would also respond when you want the lead engines to operate as a single unit). To get around this limitation, put the pusher engine back at the bottom of hill on a spur and turn off the electricity to that spur. I use this feature to run multiple Legacy trains simultaneously on the same loop. Unfortunately at this point in the Legacy software, none of those consists can be MU'ed as you want unless you have the pusher placed on a dead section of track.

You could also hook up a dummy engine to the single pusher engine to get a lash-up.
