Hi guys,

On my 9x9 layout I have Lionel FasTrack remote switches that I have hooked up to two SC2's so I can control them from my Cab-1 controller. In this one particular spot on my railroad.. sparks go flying from under the train wheels when the train runs over the switch. And I mean giant SPARKS! You can hear the BUZZZZ too. I even tried several different switches in this spot .. hoping it was an issue with the switch that was there... but they all cause sparks. This just baffles me. I need some ideas because I can only assume this can't be good for the switch or the car wheels themselves. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance....

Hi, Dave! Welcome to the Forum.

Nobody seems to have a reply. I don't have any of the components that you are using, but here are a few general suggestions:

1. Do you still have the problem if the SC2 is not connected to the switch?

2. Can you give a more detailed description of where on the switch the sparking occurs?

3. Does it spark for all the wheels on a train, or just special cases like trucks with roller pickups?

Maybe there are some clues here that will help us understand your problem.
