Hi guys,
On my 9x9 layout I have Lionel FasTrack remote switches that I have hooked up to two SC2's so I can control them from my Cab-1 controller. In this one particular spot on my railroad.. sparks go flying from under the train wheels when the train runs over the switch. And I mean giant SPARKS! You can hear the BUZZZZ too. I even tried several different switches in this spot .. hoping it was an issue with the switch that was there... but they all cause sparks. This just baffles me. I need some ideas because I can only assume this can't be good for the switch or the car wheels themselves. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.... Dave E. |

Hi, Dave! Welcome to the Forum.
Nobody seems to have a reply. I don't have any of the components that you are using, but here are a few general suggestions: 1. Do you still have the problem if the SC2 is not connected to the switch? 2. Can you give a more detailed description of where on the switch the sparking occurs? 3. Does it spark for all the wheels on a train, or just special cases like trucks with roller pickups? Maybe there are some clues here that will help us understand your problem. |
