With the help I got from the forum here I am up and running. My question is plugging in the base. I had a separate line run to the attic, 20 amp with ground. Off that plug I have a power strip to which I have hooked up my transformers and that is where I have the legacy base plugged into. The picture in the manual shows it being plugged into the socket. Will I have problems down the road using the power strip. Thanks Paul

You should try to go into the wall if at all possible only to make sure you get a good ground.
But you could test it and see your results, you will not damage the Legacy by trying. But you trains may run erratically -Chris TCA 02-54187 Well I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison And I went to pick her up in the rain But before I could get to the station in a pickup truck She got run'd over by a damned old train |

The problem with some outlet strips is the surge suppressor. That seems to effect the Earth ground. Chris is correct it won't hurt to try the strip but if you have signal issues try the base directly to the outlet.
