I have a K-Line NC DOT Engine with TMCC. It run's great by itself, but pull anything behind it on the carpet railroad and it sparks over the rear trucks. I found the the hotwire is mounted with ring pointing flat on the rear truck and the hot wire comming straight up from the truck.

The hot wire is cover has worn away where it is rubbing up against the electric motor mount. How can I fix this? I really want to get this engine cleaned up and ready to run on the new lay out we are planning.
