Hello, when operating the layout in TMCC and the track is "live" I shut down the loco via the sequence of AUX 1 then 5 and it shuts down , I then hit AUX 2 to turn off headlite. At this point I assume you would have to address the engine by ID # again to start it. My problem is that I turned the red nob on the cab1 by accident and the engine started moving but with no sound on. Am I doing something wrong ? I did not address it by ID # it just started moving the more I turned the red nob or direction key. Is there a sequence to shut down the engine and have to address it by number again to get it moving ? In other words shut it off completely on the live track.

Bernie, as long as the power was NOT shut off to the track, and it is the last engine you addressed, it is still controlled via the CAB-1. YES, you are correct in stating that the power must be cycled to restart using the engine # again. The "shut down" feature only turns off sound. You can address "start up" on the keypad overlay to resume sound.
