I did not pre-order it and Engine House Hobbies contracted their distributors and both were sold out.

I received mine the other night, and received the Legacy v1.2 back from Ohio the next night. This is my first Legacy engine, and I am absolutely thrilled. First of all, I have been looking for this engine since the late '80's, but since that Lionel issue became an instant collectors item commanding what seemed to be astronomical prices, I have always wished for one.

It is a absolutely beautiful, faithful to the original. The paint job is perfect, it is highly detailed. The paint colors are perfect, making the orange on my Kline 21" heavyweights look like a dull Milwaukee Road orange. Everyone at Lionel should be proud of themselves for such an incredible model. I had difficulty getting the railsounds card to respond initially until I re-programmed it to another ENG # other than #1 as it came assigned...suddenly all the sounds were working.

While this may be my first Legacy engine, and it most certainly will not be my last, it may remain my favorite - dischler
