Well when I came home last evening Legacy was sitting in my living room along with a new ZW chip. I hooked up Legacy this afternoon and then installed the new ZW chip. Legacy is up and running and the ZW seems to have been fixed.
Good job Lionel!

well so far it works okay. but the signal was still weak then discovered it was on #1 so set base and remote to channel 5 will test again. was surprised both engines were still in memory, wonder if the new chip did that when installed or if they wrote down info and re entered the info after new chips installed. I cannot complain only want to thank all at lionel involved in making this a painless experience for me. Mike Reagan is a plus at lionel things can only get better for customer support seems the days of generic e-mails are history. now when my GS-4 shows up I can see how well legacy and legacy equipment work. $oo
$oo, interesting to see that your base and remote was on channel 5. Upon my return of the base and two remotes all were on channel 9. When I sent mine in it was on channel 1; I figured this to be no big deal and so far it certainly hasn't been. I'm leaving mine on 9 since it was returned that way. I'm curious to know if anyone elses' channels were changed during the upgrades?

Im intrested in hearing from you all after youve had some time to play with your upgraded units. Id love to know if the upgrades have really solved the majority of the current legacy problems. If the problems are corrected as advertised it may be the pushing point in me purchasing a unit.
