Thanks, I have the origional manual. It assumes that you are using one of the powerhouse bricks. I am using a separate transformer to power my system not one of the bricks. I know that the powerhouse units have a two wire cord which ends in a three terminal molex plug. I still need to know which pins in the connector are the a and u connections.

Trainman,
Your post has caused me to think about my future power supply. I am running a brick through my direct lock-on presently; however, in the future I will be running a ZW with 2 bricks. I think you need the power adapter cable sold by Lionel(6-12893). It will have the molded plug on one end and the A and U terminals on the other end to connect to your transformer. Let me know if this is correct for your set up as I think this is what I will need to do. Good luck. |

I used the TMCC TPC Cable Set part# 6-14194 to connect my powerhouses through switches to my Lionel Controller and MTH TIU.
The center connector is the HOT side coming out of the powerhouse. This corresponds to (A - B - C - D)terminals on the Lionel controller. On mine the beveled side is blank coming out of the powerhouse and the other end is the common (outside rail) connection. On my TPC Cable Sets the black wire is hot (center connection) and the white is common (end connection to the non-beveled side of the molex). Hope this helps as far as the powerhouse goes. Tommy |

Gregj410, that cable should work for you, too. Jay |
