Pennsylvania shortline AVR the only Railroad to purchase the new Leslie 5 chime horns for daily service that i am aware of, was in the process of scrapping unit 2006 last week due to a bent frame. Rebuilt by NRE in August of 2006 this unit sported the new Leslie horn when it left NRE....... AVR 2006 has obviously seen some better days at Glenwood Yard. Its Leslie 5 chime horn along with most other useful items were already removed late last week.

Any idea how the frame was bent? Did it slip through the rebuild that way?

Info in the remarks / comments section just below the photo. For those that didn't look at the picture or read the comments, the unit was in a yard incident / mishap a couple of months ago, resulting in the bent frame.

Just looking at it, I would have guessed a rough joint. Big Grin
