Anyone know where I can find the scheduled appearances of the NS executive train? There doesn't seem to be a schedule of any type on the NS website.

I have the full set from MTH and would love to see it in person and know it travels the rails widely in the Ohio, PA, Kentucky area.

I doudt ANY executive train travels the rails widely. If the NS executive specials are anything like the BNSF and UP specials we have in the west, then they try to keep them on the "QT", except for those districts and employees
involved. Also, the need for security, in our current state of terrorism world wide, is VERY important.

These guys will give you a heads up. They cover VA & MD but sometimes have info on trains going to or from other areas. There might be other groups like it that cover areas closer to where you are. You have to sign up as a member of the group.

There are other Yahoo Groups with railroad focus that occasionally discover and publish about future special movements like Office Car trains of NS or CSX. Do a search in Yahoo Groups to ID the railroad forums and find one linked to your area geographically or by the local RR. I live in Ohio and use Eastern Ohio Rails Group as an example of what I mean. These Groups are far from 100% reliable informing of such interesting events, but they do sometimes catch things like the RBBB Circus trains or the CSX and NS OCS trains. For example, I did learn from one of them of the recent trip by NS OCS to Bellevue to attend a special event there, and in time to be there and see this beautiful train.

You can also put 2+2 together and deduce some trips like the fact that several Class One RRs take their OCS trains to events like the Kentucky Derby or the Indy 500 as customer schmooze opportunities and they usually travel to and from a day or two in advance and a day or so after the actual events whereby if you listen in to the radio you can catch them on the road, etc., or parked at the event itself. Less reliable but sometimes works to do a Google search on the specific train like circus or OCS and you can get lucky and learn of an impending movement.
