Does Baltimore have any huge rail yards and intermodal yards...as I would assume? Former B&O and C&O yards?

The cesspool that is Baltimore Terminal. There are a handful of yards dotted around the city that are former B&O yards. The former Western Maryland's facilities at Port Covington are long gone.

Norfolk Southern has Bayview only, which is former Conrail.

There is also the Canton Railroad around Penn Mary, and the PBR which I think is the steel railroad, at Sparrow's Point.

CSX has Mt. Winans, Mt. Clare, Bayview, Riverside (which is also a MARC service terminal) Locust Point, Penn Mary (which is connected to Seagirt Marine terminal), plus two industrial tracks.

The yards are connected roughly by the Baltimore Belt Line that runs around the city. The Baltimore Terminal Sub begins at Halethorpe.

Be very careful in these neighborhoods where the train yards are.
