Here are some pix from today, July 12, 2008:
First, the NS 2120 Cabless yard locomotive: Then, the famous NS F Units: Then, the famous E8's: Then, part of the Railroaders Museum yard: And finally, some shots at the Curve: The NS engine in this last shot was pulling a string of apparently empty hoppers and had two helpers at the end of the train. All of the hoppers were sporting fresh paint jobs and were cleaner than I've ever seen -- they looked brand new. I wonder if NS knew they would be seen by hundreds of train fans and made an effort to put on a show? These were all taken with my antique digital camera. I'll post some of the shots from my film camera when they get developed. Andy TCA, LRRC, LCCA, Atlas Golden Spike - "Diesels represent the job, steam represents the adventure!" |
