I was in Kingston RI last week and stopped by the train station. Much to my amazement, an Acela pulled into the Kingston station and stopped.



The Acela does not have a scheduled stop here so I asked the conductor what was going on: He said it was a test train and they were checking the circuits for the signals.

A regional pulled in heading west and stopped tail to nose on adjoining tracks.



The Acela passed her test and is seen heading back east with a clear signal.
