The station is now gone, burned down a few years back. There used to be a swinging bridge that crossed from the station to 8th St. I believe. It went right over all the tracks. This was a pedestrian swinging bridge. And rather large if I remember correctly. Does anyone have pictures of this bridge? The Reading Outer station was very busy and set in the middle of wye of tracks. The main ones ran right through 7th St. in downtown Reading and out to the 6th St. yards where the Reading shops were located. I delivered newspapers to houses on 9th st that backed up to the rail yards around the 1500 block. Wish I had been more into trains in those days.
