I know that Scott Smith has a great coal mine scene with a K-line Plymouth and the coal Jimmy Cars. I want to do something similar but I get the it's not proto typical we need a real mine loco IE electric mule speech. I thinks Scotts looks great and I'm sure there are others out there maybe using Porters etc. So show me what you got so I can convince the nay sayers. I'd like to have an engine pulling coal jimmies out of a mine and going back through a hidden loop, running slow. Thanks, Dave

Dave,
I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but here are a couple of scenes from a simpler era! More about it in the current OGR. Jim |

I too, would like to see some pics on this subject. I was thinking of running my Plymouth in to a mine opening on one side of the furnace, going behind it, then coming out another opening on the other side of the furnace. Yeah, my furnace is in the middle of things. I already have a two track lift out in front of it (and yes, it's safe).

I thought of a coal mine but I wanted something brighter.

These are older shots, but nothing has changed. I'm in the process of stringing cable and fabbing ore buckets. A slow process, since the wife insists that 1:1 scale landscaping needing attention more than the basement.
