Anyone know of a source for ready made crossties to use with metal O gauge track to fill in between the metal ties?

jjmock...welcome to the forum! Go the "find" on this forum, and you should locate a lot of discussion. There were some tips just a few days ago, from purchasing ties, to making your own. Adding ties really improves the look of your trackage.

Kappler Lumber (should be in the source list!) sells a variety of wood ties for track that might serve for your purpose.
I use them when hand laying track wheneven I'm not making my own ties. Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself |

I made my own from trim wood from Lowes. It is the same width as Lionel ties with rounded edges and just a little shorter so you can slide them under track that's screwed down. Just cut to length, spray paint black, and glue in place.
Take me back to early 1900's Renovo, PA |

PrrFan, Could you be a little more specific about the trim wood. You have convinced me to try this myself. Greg, Lionel Fan |

It looks like "screen molding". 3/4" wide pine-- a very basic wood molding
