newbie question i have my bench work and my track laid. now trying to plan roads i was wondering how wide you guys make a double lane road and a single lane road

it depends on the cars and trucks you plan to use

usually a double is 7" and a single half that

but I have used 6" for a double and 3 for a single

3" is 12 feet wide

I made mine 5 inches wide because 6 looked a little too wide, I just went with what "looked" right to me.

The downtown street, with parking spaces, is about 11" wide. The RR crossing about 7". Depends on the setting it will be in, country or city.
