Let it dry, it just scrapes right off. You can usy somthing light as a credit card or your fingernail.

If you have to use something abrasive don't use sand paper use a Scotch Brite Pad. I use them to clean my tubular track and have no problems and no grit left over to clean up.

I know it is advised not to use sandpaper but what is the reason? I have used it in the past and beside scratching the track it seams to do a good job. The scratching is minimal and not noticable unless you feel it with your finger

The problem with sandpaper is the grit it leaves behind that can get picked up into moving parts and it's abrasive remember.
