This is a little project we just finished. Sid's Gas Appliances, "You'll get over the smell." This is Dana's first try at weathering a building. Sorry for the close ups, I'll soon get the hang of this.

Upstairs. I had to remove the couple that will be working on math. All the windows are frosted except for one small spot.

This is my first try with LEDs. I used warm white LEDs for lighting and I think it turned out real well.

The wallpaper came from Jim's Printable Minis. They have stain glass windows, wallpaper and anything that would be good for interior details that are free for the printing.

They are made out of two pieces of 1/4" square wood with a piece of strip wood with a little angle sanded on them for the back panel. After I had them glued down I found out that on the Printable site they had appliances that you print, cut out and make a box.

I don't know about a how-to, but I can give you a how don't. I'll admit my mistakes. They are all to short. I don't know what I was thinking, I laid two 1/4" square wood on each other and put the top on. Yes that is correct, in 1:48 that is exactly 2 foot tall. I painted them, took a black marker and drew the doors and stove coils on and glued them in place. Took LifeLike people out to put inside, well the tops came to the middle of their thighs. Agggghhh, now what? So to the bag of LPs to find something else. MTH standing passengers, 1/64th, fit the bill, the proportions now look right. And I placed them in front of the tallest things, two refrigerators so there is no direct comparison to the size of the short things.

I made the building modular so I can take it apart. I'll get some pictures of the interior.

....Gene, how about setting the stoves up on a "display riser"? Maybe hiding/disguising the lower portion w/sign or something? Just a thought.
