Charlie,
These were made from Ameri-Towne kit parts. The four wall sections were assembled as one large unit, braced with styrene and 3/4" square wood on the rear. The extra door openings were filled with various forms of styrene siding, disguised by small balcony units, etc. You have a lot of choices in how you arrange them to make each building front unique.

Charlie...you can also check out CG Textures website. They have many photos of various kinds of buildings. I printed off a bunch of their offerings, all free, and then mounted them on heavy cardstock and cardboard. They look great and you can detail them as much as you want. A very economical way to get nice backdrop buildings....I have a wall 32 feet long of them!!

I highly recommend Ameritown. You can build just about anything with those kits or fronts and the price is not sky high like most of the other O scale building kits. Plasticville is cheaper but way off scale. Ameritownes fit in perfectly are easy to assemble, paint and they don't glow like Jack-O-Lanterns when illuminated. You just can't go wrong with that stuff. Just ask Jim Barrett.
