I'm not exactly sure what kind of railing that would be. but here's my best guess: Plastruct part 90473. Here's a link to what it looks like:

Good luck,

Hi
can you make it in brass.
Michaels and lowes have brass wire in different gauges.

Andre.

You should check out a Plastruct display at your LHS or Hobby Town USA, if there's one close by, and I think Scenic Express sells it, too. I have used 3/16" round pieces and drilled holes through them and pushed the smaller (.090) round pieces through to make the horizontal railing. Just a touch of glue keeps them in place.

Also check out the square tubes and flat strips for a different kind of fence or railing. 3/16" square tube and 1/8" x 1/4" strip for the boards looks good, too.

All I want to do is retire and play with my trains all day.

Model Power makes a "6' black iron fence." It looks similar to those that have surrounded NY City public schools since the early 1900's-1960's, before they went to 8' chain link and razor wire.

It's a bit heavy looking though, fairly tall and comes with a gate. I'm not sure how long a stretch the fence kit does. Maybe 2'to 3'? My set is in the shop building layout room.

Here's a link to the fence that Ed referred to. According to the packaging, you get 65" of fencing (including the gate itself).

Note: The packaging claims "6' Scale Height", but the fence is about 1.725" tall; which works out to be almost 83" (6' 11") Scale Height.

Here's a closer shot of the fence, repainted and (poorly) rusted.

I don't see anything "poorly" about it.
