This may have been mentioned before but I don't remember seeing it on the forum. I found a very easy way to create nice looking straight window grids for buildings or fronts. I use transparency film (for overhead projectors) and Microsoft Spreadsheet. Spraedsheet lets you adjust columns vertically. So you can make the grids as wide as you want. I adjust the lines to where I want them and then print them on the transparency film. I cut the film to fit and then glue them onto the building or front. See the picture. I hope this helps some of you out.

The neat thing is you can easily make them diamond shape like is used for door windows with frosted safety glass sometime. I have never seen a commercially made door like that.

Good suggestion NSChris, and thanks for showing your work. Designing things on a computer and printing or otherwise using that design to implement something is very powerful. You can also design a complex palladian window, or fancy door pattern, and print it out using the same technique.
