I would like too know if their is a way to put photos on boxcars I would like too do a family train not just tape them on can you guys help me out Thanks

Sorry forgot this is honor of my Dad he passed away in 2006 he wanted me to get onto o gauge he bought Lionel when I was 7 I put my stuff around the tree each year Oops

I would scan the photo, then print it onto decal paper (spray on some clear coat to protect the ink-jet ink from the water.)

Just a thought. Hope this helps.

A slightly different approach:

Why not prop the box car doors open and put the photos inside?

Also in follow up to Matts suggestion, there is decal paper made especially for printing with inkjets. Mr Google knows where to find it.

Check out Champ decals, MicroScale, Micro Mark and others. They all sell decal paper. Beldecal used to sell white decal paper but I hear they have stopped. Some of those sites also have instruction pages.

You can scan exactly as mentioned but white decal paper would probably be best, especially if your boxcar is dark.
