I would scan the photo, then print it onto decal paper (spray on some clear coat to protect the ink-jet ink from the water.)
Just a thought. Hope this helps. Matt Jackson A.I.M. Screen Name: MJ928s Angels Gate Hi-Railers, San Pedro, California http://www.aghrclub.org Moving Freight and Passengers from Point A to Point A for almost 1/8th of a century!

Uncle Buck,
A slightly different approach: Why not prop the box car doors open and put the photos inside? Also in follow up to Matts suggestion, there is decal paper made especially for printing with inkjets. Mr Google knows where to find it. -Yes We Can- Bill Parkinson - Liberty Hi-Railers - a modular railroad club in the Philly metro area. |

unclebuck,
Check out Champ decals, MicroScale, Micro Mark and others. They all sell decal paper. Beldecal used to sell white decal paper but I hear they have stopped. Some of those sites also have instruction pages. You can scan exactly as mentioned but white decal paper would probably be best, especially if your boxcar is dark. Owen |
