Well, after struggling with photobucket for three hours last night and a couple of hours this morning, I finally got 2 little pictures uploaded.
As I mentioned last night... building windows. 1 done. Window closed. Window open.
|
|||

Is there actually a pivot / wire in the open window or is it just glued into an open position?
nice bevel detail on the top of the trim, too! all around NICE! Questions are a burden to others, answers a prison for oneself |

Great looking windows Vulcan, I like the open window a lot, really adds to the wall. Are you using Photobuckets Bulk uploader? I use that all the time even if uploading a pic or two much faster then the other uploader.
Nice looking Rand pretty cool dressing up the workbench! Jim nice fly fishing scenes! The rock work around the stream is simply outstanding and you really need to do a step by step how to on creating the moving water effect. You can come over here and do my river and rapids which is waiting to get done and I can photograph your great work for everyone else! Now there's an idea LOL! Don and Jeff both of you are doing some real nice work, love the Chevrolet sign! Well nothing to show yet for this week train wise, we did a lot of good work for the less fortunate folks whose homes we worked on but plan on getting downstairs and getting back to work on the layout now that I am home from church and can post later! It does actually pivot. It opens and closes. I made the pivots from pieces of a straight pin into the window frame and notched out the wall to recess the pins. They are held in place by the trim. Just finished the second one. At this point, the last one. Paul, I was only trying to up load one picture, it either wouldn't upload or caused Firefox to crash. I empty my cach and private data, as the troubleshooting guide suggested, was able to get the second picture uploaded but it was still slow as heck. |

Thanks - pretty close to what I thought.

Nice tower, pk4! How did you slip that in there? I didn't see it before.
Photobucket's back to normal. Another open and shut case. Drawer closed. Drawer open. As soon as I figure out what kind of work bench it is I will add the appropriate tools/ junk to the drawer. |

Well, until someone pays me to stop, I'm going to keep posting.
Shop heater. Started this lathe last Thursday afternoon, worked on it Friday morning, then my order of lumber came in so I went back to work on the shop.

Don, Is the Chevrolet sign off of an actual car? I'm using a "bow tie" logo off a Chevy for the dealership I just finished. EBay comes in handy for unusual needs. Joe

The Chevrolet sign is the Trunk Logo you used to see on the corner of the trunk from an old Chevy Impala.The building was done for me by the defunct Fischer's Creations. -Happy Railroading!!-Don Klose

I happen to have a '79 Impala, I don't remember the logo. I'd better check to see if it's still there.
PK4, nice interior detail! Martin, The shop heater: the drum is from Grandt line, I cut the opening in the lid. The rest is scratchbuilt. Lathe: From the scrap box. So far all styrene. Though I am using western scale models and other photos, including my own table top lathe as a reference. |

ok, I can see that.

Wow, some great stuff this week. Although there is some touch up and wiring that need to be finished, this is ready to go and I can move on to the next project.
