While working on a service station and waiting for stain to dry I looked around for stuff for the interior. Thought I could make some of my own stuff.

So the Dawdy Belt Company was born in a 20 minute fit of boredom. Another 50 or so and I open the station Wink

Good job, Dan. You're about as anal as I am (that's a compliment, I think. Big Grin ).

I spent part of the afternoon making a roll of O scale duct tape. It'll probably show up on the Sunday showcase. Let's see who spots it. Smile

Thanks Jeff. Yes, I will drop back to 800 pixels. I was using 1024 as that is the standard now for windows, but the browser itself eats some of that. Sometimes I get spoiled sitting here all day with a 24" screen at 2400 pixels wide.

Is the 24" screen a result of getting older or just not wanting to get bi or tri-focal in your glasses Confused Eek

Sorry just couldn't resist. Big Grin

BTW my screen is 17" and I have tri-focals, getting older is a bumer.

Super job on the belts, now tell us how it's made.

BNSFFAN: All of the above, plus I design Websites so I have to sit here all day and stare at it.

Belts, I just went into PhotoShop (any drawing program will work) and set the size of the "package". My package is .12 tall by .75 wide or a 6" by 3' wrapper. I made it overly long so I could then put a dab of Sobo (love that stuff) and wrap it around a paintbrush overlapping it down to size.

The belt is the tiniest 600 grit sandpaper I could slice. Make different lengths to represent different sizes, glue the ends, slip in the wrap and there you have it.

Here is a larger sample of what it looks like.
