I have my main level of track completed but have not wired it nor have I started any scenery (I will have second, higher level as well).

Question: Should I ballast my track before doing the wiring and scenery or wait until after those steps have been completed, then ballast. Am using MTH Realtrax and DCS. Have seen VaGolfer1950 and bfishma Realtrax ballasting techniques and like the results.

Definitely get the layout wired and running smoothly before ballasting. For a discussion we had recently about whether to ballast or do secnery first, check this thread:

Ballast first or scenery?

Thank You Jim,
Got it - get the wiring done first and foremost.
Thanks for the string reference "Ballast first or scenery?"
