I purchased a couple 1:48 bus' that I would like to convert to Chicago CTA/Metra styles. One of them have a previously affixed decal over the clear plastic window. Is there a way of removing this decal without messing up the clear window. Soaking, treating, ect. There has gotta be a way, just not sure.

Thanks,
Tony

I tried masking, electrical, scotch, & duct tape to no avail. I don't think these are normal water decals. It almost seems like they have a light painted effect. If the plastic wasn't clear, I'd start with mineral spirits or nail polish remover, but I'm a bit weary. Nobody's done anything like this?

Rubbing alcohol or mineral spirits should be no problem for the clear material, but stay away from nail polish remover. That will definitely fog the plastic, or worse.

ACF, I'm glad you raised the question. And thanks to all who helped - I have a similar situation myself.
