I was diagnosed with diabetes right after Easter several months ago. All is going well. I hate to throw out stuff until I see if I can use it with the trains. I help run our town layout so I made some switch stand signs or markers to help desiginate the turnouts. I used parts of my needles. Here are some shots of what I did.

Don, sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but glad to see you are dealing with it. Something I like to think I would do. You play with the cards you're dealt.
Good job! |

this has always been one of my favorite parts of the hobby: i love 'recycling' different doo-dads into stuff i can use for the layout. i keep a box of odds and ends: caps, plastic straws, mesh screens, etc.
don, i agree with vulcan: all signs point to you making the best out of the situation! |

Thanks. I also use the plunger caps for garbage cans or road construction barrels.
