Jeff, we can never get too many pictures and how to articles on building bridges and piers/abuttments. I've almost never seen a bridge that I didn't like but I like some a lot better than others. THis looks pretty good so far. Don't make us beg for more information.... Big Grin Big Grin

....Hi guys. Thanks for all the kind words.
.....I wasnt tryin to keep anybody in suspense. I just cant say much about the design of this. Although yes, I was trying for Los Angeles/Pasadena 1930s Deco in my design.

.....I think Ive let you guys know about the viaduct that will go over the harbor area of the AGHR layout.

....The longest stretch of it will go above & behind these buildings. paralleling the road.

......Another view showing the back of the "Del Rey" hotel. The viaduct will go back here,[from left to right] a few inches,...er I mean 20' or so Razz taller than this once fine establishment.

.....The viaduct has been approved by the club.
..... The exact design of the piers, however, has not. The section on my workbench is going with me to the club meeting tonight [Wed./4th] to present it to the club members for their final approval.

.....If this thing flies it will be [is] 16" tall by about 23' long.

.....I have taken some photos of it in progress & will try & post them when the dust settles Roll Eyes

......Well, Im off to the meeting. Hope this flies.Confused .....................................................Remy

I don't know, Jeff. They approved the viaduct project that'll keep you tied up for a while, then they approved the signal project which will keep me tied up for a while.

If I didn't know better, I'd think they want to keep us out of the way. Wink

Good work, by they way.

Jeff,
The piers for the viaduct look great! How's the progress coming on that project? I gotta get down to the club more often.
