Looking for some ideas on how to remove the pad printing from the doors and other areas of diecast vehicles. This includes insignia, printed text, and any other marketing/advertising print. Hopefully you know of something that will not harm the base paint.
Thanks in advance! Ken

Hey Andre...Is there any one type or brand that is better? (Beer, Wine, "Hard Alcohol, etc.)
Just providing a Friday morning grin! Thanks for the info. I am assuming you mean regular rubbing alcohol? Or is IPA better? Probably the same thing and my stupidity is showing again!
Thanks again! Ken

I've used brake fluid to "strip" paint from lexan plastic R/C truck bodies so I'd be concerned about it damaging the paint. I really don't know about diecast.

Like Jaabat, I have had great success using plain old non-acetone nail polish remover when removing lettering from a few First Gear dump trailers. Use a swab to remove the un-desired lettering. It will take a few swipes to get it all off. Don't rub too hard as this can also affect the finish paint. If it leaves any "dull" spots on the finish, use a automotive polish (swab, also) to re brighten the surface.
