I would like to take this time to invite anyone who might be in the Central Pennslyvania area to attend our open house at the Mifflin County Model Railroad Club at 3 West Monument Square, Lewistown, Pa. 17044. This is off route U.S. 22-322 60 miles west of Harrisburg, Pa. and 35 miles east of State College, Pa. We will be open on Dec.3rd & 4th 5pm - 9pm, Dec.5th 10am - 3pm, Dec.6th 1pm - 4pm, and Dec.12th, 13th, 26th, & 27th, 1pm - 4pm. All ages are welcome. Bring the kids. We have two layouts, one is O gauge layout with a large scale double loop around the O gauge section. The other is an HO scale layout based on the PRR Middle Division mainline from Harrisburg, PA to Altoona, PA. This is free to the public but donations are graciously excepted as this is our main fundraiser of the year. We will have a raffle with the prizes being a custom O gauge layout built on a 4 x 6 table that can be set up for Christmas and then taken apart and stored or left up as you please. It will come with an MTH Railking N&W J passenger set. There will also be a Lionel O gauge Thomas set, a copy of the Ol' Hook & Eye Railroad book signed by the author and a custom built Caboose bird Feeder. During the weekend of Dec.4th - Dec.6th Lewistown will also feature the Festival of Ice with Ice sculptures and Holiday activities on Market Street for all. This is always a great hit for all that attend, especially for the kids. Santa Claus always finds time to join in from his busy scedule.
