Effective Monday June 16, 2008 Lionel Customer Service will be changing its hours of operation.
• Technical Assistance will be available over the phone Monday through Friday from 10am to 12pm and again 1pm to 5pm EDT. Tech support can be contacted by calling 586-949-4100 ext 9106.
• Customer Service will be available for phone calls Monday-Friday 10am to 12pm and again 1pm to 5pm EDT. Customer Service can be contacted by calling 586-949-4100 ext 9105.
There have been some changes to the policies concerning the lobby at Customer Service. They will become effective on Monday, June 30, 2008.
• Parts orders must be phoned, faxed, emailed to Customer Service 5 days in advance, prior to pickup in the lobby. This will give our folks adequate time to collect, prepare and process your parts orders. You can pick the orders up in the lobby Monday through Friday 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm EDT.
• Return Authorizations (warranty repairs). You must obtain an RA number prior to dropping off a repair in the lobby at Customer Service. You can drop off warranty repairs (with an RA number) Monday through Friday 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm EDT.
• We will no longer issue an RA number for customers wishing to obtain one while in the lobby. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
• Pickup of Warranty Repairs. You can pick up your repaired product in the lobby of Customer Service (once you have been contacted by Lionel) Monday through Friday 10am-12pm and 1pm to 4pm.

In addition, Mike Reagan stated that Lionel in Michigan is continuing to experience difficulties with its phone system in terms of voice quality and reliability which AT&T is attributing to damage from storms that ravaged the area last week. It will be several more days before the phone system is working well again according to the phone company.
