I have one of the Atlas six wheeled Plymouth switchers, fitted with Lionel style knuckle couplers, but one has sheared off. I cannot see how to remove the coupler from the socket, but it must be easy, as these switchers often seem to have Kadee couplers, so changing them must be possible. Is there a way to remove the coupler, without damage?
Thanks!

Doh! Yes, thanks Colin. I was looking for a separate fastening which does not exist. Presumably this means that the whole thing needs replacing - both mounting and coupler?

You might want to carefully check all of those axle and intermediate gears for cracks. I just acquired one from ebay and had to replace three of the gears. The unit runs very smoothly now! NWSL makes gears for this and the old F-9 which is still a good value if in good shape!
