Track work continues into the yards. http://rdsrr.com/Photos/Trackwork/

Seven switches are down and only five more to go for this area. I swear these spikes get smaller each year!!!

Dan,
Nice work. How do you like the Old Pullman switches and what size spikes are you using?
Thanks,
Ed Kelly

No problems with the Old Pullman switches. I am using 8, 7 and 6's. Once I build the templates, layout the ties and then just glue them down, it goes fairly fast. The only real adjustment I have to make is sometimes switch the side the throw bar comes off.

Spikes are 1/2" as shown. Really small but they look great and hold well.

It looks more like 9/32" than a half inch.

I can't imagine ever laying switches but I see (and have heard) it's a bigger possibility. I'm still amazed. It's really cool to see the layout progress, Joe P.
