Hi All Booyak here....I just got My steam engs Fri and they are GREAT. They run smoothly and thier loud like a steam engines should be. As for the drivers, they are not noticeable at all. the one engine I tried out ran flawlessly.all the sounds were nice and crisp. The dcc system I use is a NCE Pro Cab. So all I can say to those who did not like the drivers dementions???? is that they are not noticeable to those who just want to have fun playing trains. respecfully to all........Booyak........

That would figure. One person complains, and twenty jump on the band wagon. Hundreds will go through life loving the engine, never knowing [or caring] the drivers are not exact. Enjoy your engine.

Anyone have a video or sound recording of this engine in operation? I am curious as to how good the 2 rail version sounds, since there was much complaining about apparent weak sound on the 3 rail. Here is a quick video of the sounds on my gold SD40 and C630. I think I like the Alco sounds on the gold engines the best.

Glenn,
I've never heard alco's before, it does sound good. When I listen to the GE AC4400CW's they sound like an airplane taking off, sounds like a high pitched jet engine. I prefer the deeper sound and those Alco's of yours sound pretty good. I do hope the newer diesel's MTH makes inherit the new speakers and enclosure found the the Russian Decapod, very nice and deep.
