It had to happen sooner or later. Three-railers have been invading O Scale West and the O Scale Nationals for years. Wink

John Dunn and Rich Yoder were there in the orange hall introducing me to other 2railers that kept stopping by while I was there.

LOL! Big Grin I just noticed this thread.

That picture was taken at the OGR Forum meeting. Due to rain the meeting was moved indoors to the Gold Hall. As you can see it was SRO.

I have been going to York since 2001. Back then I was in 3 rail but even after getting into 2 rail I still go because York is a great show. It is fun and exciting and I get to talk to some friends there. Some of them are 3 rail and some are 2 rail. Yes, it's true there aren't many 2 rail trains for sale at York but I don't go for the trains. I go for all the other interesting and new products that work for both 2 rail and 3 rail. For instance this year I found a brand new scenery product that once you put it down it already has the glue in it for the ground cover and last year I got a super super deal on the Athearn 1/50 vehicles. Of course I am always on the lookout for the really neat obscure 3 rail piece that I will convert for 2 rail use.

Another really cool thing was I got to talk to David Friedlander and I got to meet his Dad. David was kind of enough to show me the Southern radio car (I think that's the name of it) he released. It's a great kit and a really neat car. If I was a Southern RR fan I would definitely buy it.

Not that I'm knocking 2 rail only shows, of which all of the ones I've been to are really cool, but if I only went to 2 rail only shows I would be missing out on all of the stuff I mentioned above.

The way I look at it is 3 rail shows and 2 rail shows both have their niche in our hobby. They should compliment each other instead of compete with each other.

LOL! I don't know, they may have a few Jedi Knights on their side.

2 railer but respectful to 3 railers!
Happy Railroading Everyone!
