Just a little something that arrived late last week and only now have I gotten onto some track. I'm sure that "some one" out there recognizes its origins, Wink

OK Martin, I'll bite. Is it one of Ed R's loco castings?

It's the 1st tapered boiler model I did. Bob2 would be proud of me on this one, there's hardly any slot along the bottom of the boiler fire box. The fire box is direct on the frame, motor is inside the box, and the boiler rests on the firebox. Just a small portion of the gear box shows.

B&M fans won't agree, but it is ugly, isn't it :>))

Yup!

It is indeed one of Ed's that I stumbled across at a price that I could not resist.

Ugly? Well, maybe, but I have a fondest for moguls and it will fit in with very few modifications.

Interesting. There is someting to be said about the simplicity of the "teakettle" era. Nice lines, not a lot of extra stuff to catch the eye (and errant fingers) plus, it don't take up a lot of space.

And, I don't have a lot of space!

And, this is an example of a perfect engine for those that want to run steam on a tight budget with limited space, Big Grin

Being one of Ed's I'm sure that it's a can motor with NWSL components...have not hard it apart and will not unless it becomes necessary. I avoid fixing what ain't broke! Big Grin
