Decided to order it and was pleasantly surprised at the green glossy finish and great graphics. I recommend it.

Yes we need photos! I really wish Lionel would post pics of the actual production items once they are delivered.

Pics. Probably my favorite Flyer tank car of the modern era. The Comet logo is pad-printed (paint) not a decal.

Yes. Thanks for the pics. I generally don't by Flyonel rolling stock because of the plastic wheels, but this car does look nice. Some day maybe they'll use the K-line S gauge trucks they have the rights to now instead. I have converted many Gilbert cars to S-Helper metal wheel sets, but don't know of any to way to similarly convert Flyonel AF cars. Do you? Thanks.

I would be happy with Lionel using a carbon copy of the Gilbert truck and coupler. Why is it so hard to do that? Even the MPC Flyer trucks were a little different...rather than sintered iron they were blackened diecast cast in two halves with a seam down the middle.

Why did Lionel switch to these huge trucks in 1990...and later to these couplers that hardly open....even the 1990 trucks had better diecast couplers.
