A neighbor dug up some American Flyer that he asked me to look at. I put a new cord on the transformer and everything runs great. It was all wrapped in news paper dated 1978 and is all in really great shape. I have no desire to go buy any Greenberg books, I'm just wondering what the rest of the story is here. What year these were made? Was this a set? Any round figure of a value? He has:

929 Missouri Pacific non-operating stock car
930 lighted caboose
933 B&O box car
947 Northern Pacific box car
976 Missouri Pacific operating stock car with the pen and cows

This is "The Meteor Steam Freight Train" Made 1953/54, only the 976 MoPac stock car set is not part of the original set. Aprox retail value betw $300-$400. Values are always very subjective. Just my opinion, based on what I've seen in last couple of years.
