Looking for an additional engine or two for our display layout. The most reliable runners seem to be modified MTH proto-1 or loco sound steamers. If you have one of those or a similar Trainmaster I may be interested. Engines need not be running we have some replacement parts. Color and road name not important. Thanks, Dave

Hi Cruik, I have a Southern Pacific Daylight GS-4 Steamer with Proto Sound by QSI that has smoke and squeaking brakes and passenger station sounds. Quite a nice piece, but I just picked up my Imperial version with PS-2. Also have 4 Daylight cars for sale with it but will split up.

Cars $25 each plus shipping of your choice.

OK, Sorry to be a Crook. I'm on disability with 4 back surgeries. My sleep and pain have not been good this week, in general because of crappy weather here and also this is my life. If you notice the majority of my postings are in the wee hours of the morning because I can't sleep. The lack of sleep adds up and I don't always think straight. don't mean to offend I'm an equal opportunity ignorer.

This is for our Public display layout. We work totally on volunteer help and donations. It's summertime so donations have been low. But we could use another engine. I need to run these by the other members / volunteers. Today we got we made things work by finding another RK 2-8-0 that had been shelved and lost. We needed something to replace a Lionel T-1 that looks good and is historically correct for the layout, but it's pullmore seems to be getting tired. A clean and lube wasn't the fix. so it may be off to Mr. Timko for a motor replacement.

Anyway, the only Diesels that would fit our layout era and area we model would be the Trainmasters and maybe F units. Everything else would be too modern. We are more in need of steamers. I will print out the list and run it by the other guys on Wednesday night our next work night. I can say now that anything over $250 is out of our range for now. That can change when fall hits and we start getting donations, but for now, donations are down and insurance is due in 2 weeks.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. Like President Nixon would say, "I am not a Crook" just poor manners I guess. Dave
