Keep an eye on this guys ebay auctions. He is located in Maryland and has been buying a lot of shells and other junk from MTH and putting the stuff on ebay. Most of the shells are incomplete but I assume you have the handrails etc.

Did you ever buy anything off this guy?

Yes, I bought a couple of MTH high cube boxcar shells one of which I believe to be a prototype or a paint sample. I missed an FM shell. The store is about 40 minutes from me down near the DC beltway so I picked them up when I was down that way.

I have bought many items from Perry's Toy Exchange and have had no problems. His descriptions are accurate, the prices pretty fair and he ships quickly. As noted, most of the stuff is stripped or partially incomplete and DO NOT assume you'll be able to get replacements from MTH. I get the idea that some of these were stripped to GET the hard to find parts... Anyway, assuming you know what you are buying, you can't go wrong with Perry.

What kind of shell are you looking for? Some of us might give you one, perhaps not in the paint job you want, but free!
