Looking for a Lionel Body/Shell from a SD 40, 60, 70, 80, 90, that had a smoke unit. Need the exhaust insert from the shell, I melted mine and would like to replace. David

Same thing happened to my SD70 so I replaced it with brass detail parts and painted them to match the shell. Got them from P&D Hobbies. Under $10 and a little time and got a better look. I used the exhaust for a GP20 and some brass grill pieces that I cut to fit...Alot cheaper and easier than finding a shell..

Martin, just talked to Pat at P & D. He has a lot of parts you wouldn't hapen the part number you used for the exhaust stack? Thanks David.

This link should take you to the right page for the exhaust stack. It is for a GP20 but looks good, is brass:

I forgot the part #'s. PDP 1008 and 1028. the 1028 are a set of louvers you can cut and trim and wedge into the stack to look like a grill. Paint them up and you can either just set it into the opening after removing the warped one and or you can glue it down with a drop or two of glue of your choice. Probably a small drop of Goo would work...
