I cannot figure out why it is so hard on here to add a picture
to a posting. Why the copy & paste feature does not work makes
for an interesting suggestion.
Maybe Rich has the answer.

Tom,
In what way does copy and paste not work? I copy the photo URL from my photo on Photobucket or the OGR Photo Album (after detaching) and paste it into the green image box in the "Post A Reply" screen, and it's done.

You have to lower the pixels in your picture to 120 kbs. This is
kind of complicated for a 700 kbs picture. When you try to resize
the picture that much it kind of gets messes up.
What's funny is that on AOL I can copy and paste a pic into any
email or instant message with no hassle. AOL automatically resizes
the pic to fit. Even Ebay is pretty simple to upload a picture to.
So I am in awe of you guys who can post pictures on here.
No problem though.

Tom, your pictures have to be hosted by another site, such as photobucket. You can resize them there to 640x480, forum requirements. You can also upload them to the photo album here on the OGR forum. But I'm not familiar with how that works.

But, bottomline, you can't copy and paste from your hard drive. They have to be hosted.

Hey thanks guys for the good info.
I don't think posting photos should
be this involved nowadays. I do remember
the early days of Ebay and trying to post
a photo. Their system back around 2001 was
pretty primitive for posting a photo on an ad.
I remember the first time it took me like
two hours to get the picture posted.
So maybe someday I will figure this out.
