It takes a little time to get use to posting picture. The first thing to be considered is that the photos must be hosted by a website. It could be yours or another photo hosting site. OGR has as part of this forum a Photo Album Board, but the pictures must be 640 X 480 pixels and under 125 KB. If you operate with a Windows XP system right click on the picture of interest. A drop down screen should reveal a Resize Image choice. Left click on Resize Image and choose Small. You may note that the word small is added to the picture's address. If it doesn't work you may have to go to Microsoft and download the Image Resizer.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspxLook for Image Resizer on the right side. Click on that and download it. After that is installed, you should have the option to Resize when you right click on a photo. There is other photo sizing software available. The picture should be sized to OGR's specifications. I like to group all these small pictures that I wish to post in a file marked OGR. Once the picture is properly sized, you should try posting a Photo Album. The instructions are very good.
Once you have created a Photo Album the following applies.
To Post a picture in a thread:
(1.)Access the Sunday Photo Fun thread, or any other thread, and start a post. Minimize your post.
(2.)From the, OGR Photo Album, choose the picture you wish to add to the Sunday Photo Fun.
(3.) Enlarge the thumbnail picture.
(4.) With the small gear to the top right of the picture. Click for a select menu.
(5.) Click on "Detach Image".
(6.) Right click on the "Detached Image" picture. A drop down window should appear.
The detach image move may not be necessary for other websites.
(7.) Choose Properties (Left Click) Another window will appear. Somewhere in the middle of the window is a (URL) address. It should be marked URL
(8.) Right click on the URL address, a window will appear.
(9.) Left click on Select All. The URL should turn blue.
(10.) Right click on the URL again. From the drop down window Choose Copy.
(11.) Left click on Copy.
(12.) Left click on OK at the bottom of the window. At this point the URL address should be ready to insert in the post that you have started.
(13.) Left click on your post, minimized at the bottom of your screen, it should enlarge.
(14.) From the tool bar at the top of your post choose, click on, the mountain scene, second from the right, left click and a drop down window will appear.
(15.) Right click on the URL Image box. A drop down window will appear.Choose Paste.
(16.) Left click on Paste and your picture URL will appear in the URL Image box.
(17.) Choose an alignment, Left, Top, or Right and then click on OK. You should see additional information added to your post.
(18.) For multiple pictures Follow the same steps, but (Click Enter) before adding the next picture to your pre-post message. Each picture URL information should be a paragraph or phrase with [IMG:....] against the left margin of your pre-post Message.
Example of how the pre-post should look:
