Bob brought his new seven module station complex from Virginia up to PA for fine tuning. They are beautifully made and will really be a hit. Needless to say, we "had" to connect them into a complete loop of SGMA modules and run a lot of trains to "confirm" they would be ready to show. Chris and I shared this "hard work" with Bob. We had a blast! (One of my neighbors also came by to see the big guys run.)
Bob plans to build four corner modules and a couple of more straight modules so he can have a complete operating layout after his move to Arkansas. He promises to trailer his modules to our bigger shows once he gets settled!
Dick Mayer (and his employee Butch Alvarado) made a custom, one-off Milwaukee Road McKeen motor car and two matching trailers for one of the SGMA members. The motor car is patterned after a long version McKeen motor car called the “KULSHAN”, which the Milwaukee Road acquired around 1918 when it purchased the Bellingham Bay and British Columbia Railroad (BB&BCRR) during the final stages of its western expansion into the Pacific Northwest.
Bob Thon used to sell these when they were made by Rich-Art. I wish I had bought one!!
Great looking modules.I saw your layout at the TTOS convention in Altoona last summer.I am with the Pittsburgh Hi-Rail group that was there.I am still into Hi-Rail but I have started with Tinplate.I have two Standard gauge sets now an MTH #10 setand a Lionel Classics 390 and passenger cars.I also have a MTH baby Blue Comet and a Lionel Classics #44 set. I have been working on a small layout so I can run and display them.I will post some Photos this coming week to show what I have done. Do you have a list of shows you will be doing this year.I would like to see the layout again.

Awesome work, guys! Sure makes me wish I had held onto my Standard Gauge stuff (although I still have many accessories that I plan to use on a Marklin MAXI pike one of these days). I'm even toying with the idea of acquiring some O gauge tinplate to operate on a Christmas layout (I still have a bit of space for that). There's something about that tinplate stuff that is hard to resist!
Have fun!

Our next display will be in Syracuse, NY at the Train Fair, on Saturday November 1st and Sunday November 2nd. We should be up and running by 10 am on Saturday, and will probably start packing up after lunch on Sunday. Bring your favorite (reliable!) train, and join us for some fun!
The Trainfair is in 2 buildings "The Center of Progress" and what is now called "The Toyota Building" this building used to be called "The Cow Barn" or something like that.
Depending on final configuration will layout will be around 72' by 36'. location "Toyota Building".
The Trainfair is a great show for operating layouts. There is more space dedicated to running trains than vendor area.
Jim C Heard it from a friend who heard from a friend who knows someone that the trains keep running around
