I just picked up a few of the freight cars made by United States Toy Train Company from EBay auctions. I also lost out on a few very interesting looking cars.
Can anyone provide any background on this company? When were they in business? Who owned them? What happended to them?
Also, I prchased a caboose. It has trucks on it, sheet metal with brass journal boxes, but no wheels or axles. Can Lionel pre-war type axles and wheels be used, or what would you suggest? Also, what is a good source for the wheels and axles. I have used George Theobold and MEW in the past.
