Smell that. You smell that? Ozone, Son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of ozone in the morning.

It will be interesting to see what this sells for. According to Louis Hertz, the two car Boucher Blue Comet was pulled by a 4-4-0 (2100) and carried a combination car and a Pullman. So this set with a 4-6-0 (2222,) a Pullman, and an obs is "different." Condidion-wise it's not bad...a little scratchy in places. This kind of stuff often "disappears" from EBAY as deals are cut privately. We'll see. I have been told that only a total of 50 Boucher BC sets of various configurations were ever made.

This is the kind of thing that MTH needs to reproduce!

It is gorgeous. I have seldom seen Boucher in any shape at any time.

Very best,

Ive seen the photos of Bouchers, and I've attended quite a few auctions in the last 10 years, but I have never come across one of these sets. For all the bad, this is one of the great things about ebay, uncommon pieces are brought to light sooner than in times past. Of course the deep pockets always beat me in the bids, but at least i know the pieces exist.

Samplingman, I agree, MTHLionel should make some of rare pieces, rather than a 260. I usually lean towards a scratchy original over the the MTH repros, but in this case it would be my only chance, so I'd jump at it.

Indeed Chris.

I don't know if you guys saw it but Ed Prenderville had a ton of Boucher in the Orange hall at York. Scratched AND pricey, but rarely seen. I had never seen the freight cars at all.
