Anyone have any idea how many of these have been made?

Probably a relatively limited run for two reasons:

Too large and heavy for most tinplate layouts.

Fairly expensive pricepoint.

The unpowered Buddy-L gauge version, like the original, might actually have more appeal to collectors, but little interest to operators.

I just ordered the last Green w/PS2 that Nassau Hobby had. The gentleman I talked to said that MTH only made 20 of the unpowered zinc models and they are all gone.

MTH is sold out of all the Brutes even though their product locator says that they have the Zinc and Green w/PS2 in stock. Jim Sutter checked for me on Monday

Wow only 20 of the plated were made. How many do you think they have to sell to make it worth their time?

make what we need and be done with it

My dealer in Florida ordered FIFTEEN and sold FIFTEEN. ALL of them went out the door as soon as they arrived! Eek

Essentially, this was a custom-produced model.

Of course, MTH could rerun it in state brown, Milwaukee Olympian colors, etc.
And maybe NOT green! Smile
