Several people have requested that we have new shirts with the SGMA embroidered logo made, both for new members and also so we can all have matching shirts for the Dulles and future shows. We considered jackets, sweaters and other items of cloths, but their relatively high cost compared to shirts would make it difficult to compile enough orders to reach the minimums required to have reasonable embroidery costs. Bob would have liked us to all get maroon and/or orange shirts (Milwaukee Road colors anyone?), but those colors weren't available in the shirts that are most reasonably priced.
So, the proposal is this: The shirt would be a "WearGuard Premium Dura-Press long sleeve twill shirt" in tan. This is a no iron 100% cotton 6oz twill shirt with two buttoned chest pockets. The sizes available are men's S, M, L, L long, XL, 2XL, 3XL and 3XL long. THe prices are $9 plus the embroidery costs for most sizes, and a buck or two more for the larger sizes. The embroidery cost for a 2"x4" SGMA logo on the chest would be $10.25 each for 12-23 shirts, or $8.50 each for 24-49 shirts.
The time to get this done is limited. Please email me (kirklindvig@...) with the number and size of the shirts you want. PLEASE don't ask me about other styles, colors or sizes! I don't need money at this point, just a firm commitment for the number of shirts you want and in what size/s.
We now have enough shirt orders to obtain the 24 shirt embroidery price! I will wait until November 9th to place the order, so if you haven't contacted me and want a shirt or two, NOW is the time!
